Lung Involvement in Sjögren's Disease: In Conversation with Dr John Mackintosh

Lung involvement, including interstitial lung disease (ILD), is one of the topics our community asks about most. In this patient education video, Sjögren's Australia Founding Director and CEO Gavin Marshall speaks with Dr John Mackintosh, Respiratory and Lung Transplant Physician at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, about what lung involvement in Sjögren's disease means and what patients need to know.

Together, they discuss what ILD is, how it affects people with Sjögren's disease, common symptoms, diagnosis, monitoring, treatment, and practical questions to ask your healthcare team. Dr Mackintosh also answers questions submitted by our community, including lung nodules, exercise, baseline testing and protecting your lung health.

Whether you're newly diagnosed, living with lung involvement or simply want to better understand your risk, this conversation provides clear, expert guidance.
