Sjögren's disease

Sjögren's disease (previously known as Sjögren's syndrome) is a systemic autoimmune disease that can impact the entire body.

While it is commonly associated with widespread dryness, the condition can also lead to serious complications such as debilitating fatigue, chronic pain, major organ involvement, neuropathies, and an increased risk of blood cancers.

Once a patient is diagnosed, ongoing care is best undertaken by a team of specialists of different interests (As Sjögren's disease is a systemic condition).

The disease effects millions of people worldwide and due to a lack of education and research, it is often misunderstood by the medical community.
